I almost died like Michael Jackson

When it comes to our looks and bodies I am sure there is something we all would like to change about ourselves. In the day and age that we are currently living almost anything is possible. If you want a smaller nose you can get it. If you want fuller lips you can get them. Larger breasts? No problem. Smaller tummy? You got it.

Collagen injections, implants and the like are not just all the rage in Hollywood anymore. You and I are now jumping on the bandwagon. Well, not literally, for me anyway. Yes, there are things I would love to change about myself to get the perfect face and body, but its not happening. For one, nobody is cutting me unless it's a life or death situation. Two, I am perfectly okay with not being perfect. But, some people are not. For them, being perfect means going under the knife to fulfill whatever it is they desire to become "more" cosmetically.

When I came across this YouTube video of Heidi Montag I wished I could have been a fly on the wall, or maybe even her brain. She had ten surgeries in one day and almost died like Michael Jackson as she put it! She did accomplish looking totally different, but I wonder if she has achieved inner peace. I thought she looked perfectly fine before the surgeries, but it just goes to show you what inner demons people wrestle with inside even though the outside image may seem perfect to some. What do you think of her new look, her decision, and what the future holds for her?

  1. I'm not sure I've made peace with being imperfect, though I'm working on it. What stops me from considering plastic surgery (among other things) is that I'm sure if I changed how my nose looks, or my breasts, or one of the other things I find "imperfect," I would immediately find something else to be unhappy with. That is, it's not changing the outside that makes you feel better! I thought she looked fine before, and rather odd now, but I hope she's happy!

  2. Unbelievable! I am so happy that I am happy with my imperfect self. I would not change a thing. Um well maybe some of the stretch marks ;-)

  3. The only thing I would ever conciser having done is a tummy tuck (muffin top syndrome, here). This being said, I am not big on surgeries, necessary or unnecessary. So I am not even sure I would be able to bring myself to this. Other than this (and baby weight, which I can do something about) I am pretty happy with the way I look. It took me 27 yrs to get to this point.
